Description: | THE FINISHED VERSION OF para_outpostnorth30_v3 -------------INSTALLATION-------------- Place all three files ("mor_outpostnorth32_a3.bsp" , "mor_outpostnorth32_a3_particles.txt" , and "mor_outpostnorth32_a3_morbus.txt") into your garrysmod/maps directory. ----CHANGING SNOW PARTICLES SETTINGS---- raise or lower the snow quality by opening "mor_outpostnorth32_a3_particles.txt" and editing the line "snow-med" to read "snow-high", "snow-med", "snow-low", or "snow-off". Changes take effect when the map is reloaded. "snow-off" = no particles "snow-low" = 8% particles "snow-med" = 30% particles (default) "snow-high" = 100% particles ----------------GENERAL------------------- Created for the Morbus gamemode by remscar. This map is heavily influenced by the great horror movie, John Carpenter's "The Thing". -------------UPDATE HISTORY---------------- a3- added 3 new particle .pcf files to allow users to select different particle quality settings. reduced fog distance and draw distance. fixed some small aesthetic flaws minor update 10/13/12- cleaned up the mor_outpostnorth32_a2_morbus.txt file and removed odd unwanted grenade spawns in seemingly random locations (like in the floor). no changes to mor_outpostnorth32_a2.bsp version a2- cut even more non-essential entities for greater stability, added more ammo spawns to armory, removed some unneeded particle emitters for improved performance version a1- cut snow particle count by roughly 65%, triage on many entities, and better morbus item spawns |
