I saw that Valve did an update to Portal, and was wondering if there was some way to get the relevant files and manually update my install. I'm assuming it would involve unpacking some of the GCFs?
CT:CE is one of many fanprojects shut down by the corporatist @$$hats that made the original Chrono Trigger. Apparently they'd managed to complete 98% of their project.

How long until people realize that DRM-via-Internet connections aren't going to stop anyone and only make legitimate purchasers mad? I don't mind paying the game devs for their work, but no way in hell am I gonna put out...

Also got the same error when trying to extract from source models.gcf, fortunately there's also a DL link for that too.
EDIT: And NOW from source sounds.gcf! Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, even Microsoft doesn't f*** up downloads that often.

All was going fine until I started extracing from Source Materials.gcf
Got a message about "unexpected end of GCF" blah blah blah...
But it verified fine in Steam!
So what gives?
