Here's the Half-Life 2 GCFs, just extract (with a .zip extractor, 7zip is free) the files into your steamapps folder then download HL2 via steam. Half-Life 2 content/dialog 7zip tell me if anything is wrong with the links or downloading the game.

I've been experiencing problems with my gmod (i acctually own it) and whenever i join a server it gets to "sending client info" and then i lags for a while like it should then windows 7 says that it has stopped responding and then i try closing the window and it closes gmod and i try waiting it...
