Call of Duty MW2

so i got the files thanks to free weekend and i run the game on another i account i made after the free weekend expired so it wouldnt recognize my screen name and stuff, and i click play on the main menu of MW2 and it says connecting to IWNet... and it never connects. is there a way to fix that at all? or do i just need to connect to a cracked server?
