Couple of suggestions.

Couple of suggestions, maybe add the popup box which showed when you had a private message, this was very handy i thought.
Also how about a legend, we had one a while back and looked good and we could tell who was who.

Please consider.

if you go into your control panel i believe you can set it so that the popup appears and that you also recieve an email saying you got a PM and shit. I figured it out a couple days ago
