HL:S is the old version that looks the same as Half life, exept for some details.
and black mesa is a remake of HL whit HL2 graphics.

awesome, thanks

wait, when i try and extract it it says i need the 'next volume' any one care to help me?
EDIT: dont worry i sorted it.

HL: source is created by valve, the only differences between it and the original HL is ragdoll physics.
Black Mesa is a complete remake of the original game by a third party, using the source sound, graphics and physics engines.
