FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! HELP!!!!

this is really pissing me off can someone please help ive download all the gcfs for half life 2 E1+E2 put them in my apps folder but the download keeps saying its suspended what am i doing wrong here. The whole reason i started messing around with this steam shit is so i could play half life 2 with mods any ideas would really help

Sounds like you need to download the latest version as steam often apply updates to their games
