Why undead patch all games doesn't work?

Why all games of Undead Patch doesn't work? I want HL2 Episode 2, but it just says that: "All Steam servers are too busy ATM, try again later", or something like that.

PLZ help!

you gotta download the GCF files for the game and then you can only play on a cracked server. Look at the GCF section for all the appropriate files

that happens with all of these. I'm not sure what to do with the GCF's cause I'm kinda new

GCF files belong in your steamapps folder

Yeah, I had this problem at first... you need to download the GCF's/NCF's (game files), put them in your steamapps folder, and then update the game in steam. Good luck!

TO ELITE: your problem is to get to GCF's, you need to have at least 50 posts

I have the same problem. How I get L4D2 to work? I have the game files, but on Steam it just says download starting and it doesn't do anything else from there. I'm running the undead patch 6.66 as well. Halppppp.
