Just installed it. It's giving me this error. Sometimes hl2.exe just crashes instead. Help.

Steam says "The steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request." I think its cause I downloaded the december 2009 files, if I download this, will it fix it? When extracting says Whats the correct password then? (Yes I did copy and paste) Come on what the hell is the password???? :(

I downloaded SteaUp!, and tried some other things that said I could download the games on Steam without buying them, and steam gives me an error saying their servers are busy. I know I can't download all the games, but there is not info on what games I CAN download...
