Build yourself a new computer, Pentium 4 isn't worth updating in this day and age. I would suggest: Athlon II X4 with appropriate motherboard (or AM3+ for Bulldozer) 4 or 8 gigs of DDR3 1600mhz GTX 560 ti/ AMD Radeon 6950 Samsung F3 1TB HDD for games + SSD for windows/apps Case of your choice...

You'll need more than 4GB of RAM for heavy video editing, heavy photoshop and picture editing. A solid state drive would also help benefit those programs. Some games like GTA IV can eat up 4gb fast.

You'll want 2x2GB or 2x4GB of RAM for an AMD system as they use dual channel memory and not triple channel like X58. Your graphics card is integrated, you won't be able to play many games with it. What PSU do you have? Generic no names with high wattage are bad news, stick to XFX, Corsair...

I've used both, they are both pretty good but it all depends on the card you have, the rest of your system and what game, whether it uses physx or not, and so on. My current card is a GTX 560 Ti.

AMD is good value for money, Intel is when you have more money than sense :D

Looks like a very good system, Better than mine. Like noodle said always download the latest drivers form the web. You might need to use the CD for networking drivers however.
