It's hard to find jobs here with current unemployment rate of 7.3% compared to aus 5.4%, most young and skilled graduates jump across the ditch to get better pay and job opportunities.
In a way, they are trying at both ends to fulfill their needs, the rest of us here just suck it up and wait for the economy to slowly recover.

I know what you mean - I was retrenched 12 x months ago - and there aren't too many Senior Real Time Embedded Analyst/Programmer jobs in AUS atm - they have all gone to India - so I'm semi-retired (and broke)!
BTW: The last good contract job I had was for a NZ Helicopter mob!
LOL, the sad truth I guess. Hey, is uni at aussie different from NZ? Like in America or something?
