i had to redownload boarderlands so it might be a while longer before i can confirm the crack. i had to clean out some junk off my computer for the joining of the files to work properly

that is a common error and cannot be fixed. what it means is that steam is denying you access to that game cause you do not own it. but if you still want the game what you would have to do is manually download the gcf/ncf files and the game's content into your steamapps folder, to find those...

i know what you mean by the whole not enough space for the games you want, i myself am also running low on hdd space, i only have 9.03GB of 69.6GB free on my main drive and steam(nearly 30GB) and the os(bout 15GB) and other windows based programs(16GB) takes up the majority of my drive and 32GB...

as far as i know you have to have an internet connection to install the games, unless you have a large portable drive that you can haul to go to another computer (like your friends house) to get internet and install steam and your games on that drive and then you should be able to play offline...
