Cry of fear without original hl1?

Cry of fear doesn't seem to work without hl1 (it crashes when you try to start a new game.)

So if anybody knows how to play this game without hl1 then...please help.

Hi there i found a way to play it without orginal halflife
ONLY TESTED WITH GREENLUMA
1.Get Half-life Steamversion(via Greenluma(Cracked Steam))
2.Get Steambuster(here on the forums)
3.Star Half-life once in Steam
4.Install Cry Of Fear
5.Restart Steam so Cry of Fear is in your steam game list
6.Start Steambust and config is so Cry of Fear in in the game list of Steam buster
7.Leave Steam Runnig and start Cry of Fear with Steambuster

Working fine for me

What is Steambuster used for? I got the game to run by just using greenluma but cannot play the multiplayer portion. Is there any way to get that to work considering Cry of Fear is a FREE game and just needs the half life engine...

how do i make it show cry of fear in steam buster? i only have half life

okay i found out how to make it show on the steambuster (by guiding the apps to my username)
but the game still doesnt work

-With Steambust:
Starts in a 2D menu and doesn't even let me chose difficulty i just stay there in the game menu no matter how many times i click in New game.

Half life 1 and Afraid of Monsters DC work without problems whatsoever..

Help please? :\

Update:
I have Half Life 1, Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1 and Half Life 2: Episode 2. Installed a bunch of mods such as Nightmare House 1 & 2, They Hunger, Afraid of Monsters, Paranoia, Dear Easther... Everything works except Cry of Fear.
Tomorrow i'll try to update my Half Life's gcf files, maybe i have an old version. I'll post here if it works!
