need some help with steam

can someone show me how i can get my steam games (half-life 2,Half life 2 DM...) (used steamup to Download) into a clean steam. by that i mean i want to remove steam from my computer then install a clean steam (with the same account) then install green luma (so i can use Gmod) and then put the games back so i dont have to download it again. cause it take ages to download 3 gb games. any help will be appreciated.

Copy your steamapps folder (default C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps) to another location on your drive. Then uninstall steam and reinstall as normal, install whatever crack you want and then just copy the steamapps folder back to the original directory
