If that fails, try taking your sound card out, then putting it back in. Test w/ your MoBo sound.

In Good Standing
1- Go to your sound driver cp and take a look, maybe some options or configurations changed like for example the output config, the sound device or something like that.
2- Make sure the local windows sound system is ok too.
3- Make sure the cables have no issues and reconnect it.
4- If your sound is from a sound card and not for a integrated one check it.
5- Enter in the BIOS and see if the sound config ir right too.
6- Unistall your sound drivers, restart the computer, and download and install a uptodate new ones.
7- Check on google to see if there are someone with the same problem and have it solved, and look at the Microsoft support page to see if there are something related to that issue.
8- Reinstall Windows (not format, just a reinstall)
If nothing of that works then i have no more ideas for now.
